TIPS AND TRICKS REGISTRY


hide the menu Start Menu> Settings> Control Panel

if you re-enable this setting then Taskbar menu located on the Start Menu settings will be lost.
take the following steps. click Start> Run, type regedit and press Enter.

key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ Explorer
Value Name: NoControlPanel
Data Type: REG_DWORD
Data: (0 = disabled, 1 = enabled / hide)


disable MS-DOS Command Prompt

these settings will prevent "the use of" MS-DOS Command Prompt in Windows.
take the following steps. Click Start> Run, type regedit and press Enter.

key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ WinOldApp
Value Name: Disabled
Data Type: REG_DWORD Data: (0 = disabled, 1 = enabled / prevent the MS-DOS command prompt)


Eliminate Arrow on Shortcut

if we make a shortcut of an application or directory surely we will see a small arrow. In terms of appearance, the arrow

that covers most of the icon. For that there is a way to remove the arrow that looks more menartik our icon.
take the following steps. Click Start> Run, type regedit and press Enter.

delete the string value "IsShortcut" in the subkey "Inkfile" and "Piffile" the key "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT" of your windows registry.
